The Leofoto LPN-D800B L plate for Nikon D800 and D800E DSLR cameras with mounted battery grip is particularly strong due to the one-piece construction. This makes the L plate particularly strong yet lightweight. The base plate and L-piece are CNC machined from a single piece of aluminum and anodized black for high durability, requiring a minimum of metal for maximum strength and stability.

LPN-D800B with Arca-Swiss quick coupling

Leofoto has provided the LPN-D800B with V-shaped grooves and therefore this L-plate is Arca-Swiss compatible with both horizontal and vertical use. The L-plate measures 108mm x 82mm x 128mm and weighs only 118 grams. You can change batteries and connect cables when the L-Splate is mounted under your Nikon D800 or D800E with battery grip, because Leofoto designed it with cable ports and the removable battery compartment of the grip in mind. There is also an attachment eye for a strap.

An L-Bracket for ease of use

An L-plate or L-bracket can maximize the stability and ease of use of your camera on a ballhead when changing from a horizontal (landscape) to a vertical (portrait) shooting position. Thanks to the L-bracket, the optical axis of the lens is always positioned directly over the centre of the ball when shooting portraits, and the camera weight also presses directly on the central axis of the ballhead. The Arca-Swiss quick-release coupling also allows you to shift the camera on the ballhead for perfect positioning in relation to the subject. Leofoto supplies specially adapted L-plates for specific camera models, both for DSLR cameras and for compact system cameras and digital compact cameras. As soon as new cameras appear on the market, Leofoto designs a new L plate for that special camera model.
