My opinion on the Leofoto LN-284CT Carbon tripod

A while ago, I was asked to give my detailed opinion on the Leofoto LN-284CT Carbon tripod. When it comes to tripods, I'm not really bound to any brand, so I was open to getting acquainted with this tripod brand that was new to me. In order to be able to test the tripod in the best possible way, we searched for the perfect location. The choice between the Dorset Jurassic Coast and the Brecan Beacons in Wales was difficult, so I decided to take the LN-284CT to both places. Because, why not?

Well thought-out design

My first impression of this tripod is that Leofoto has thought carefully about the design. The tripod is lightweight and it looks and feels very stable. The LN-284CT radiates ease of use.

This appearance is also confirmed in practice. A nice feature of this tripod is the Twist Lock system, which allows you to adjust the legs smoothly and quickly. If I compare this system with that of other well-known tripod brands, Leofoto works a lot better.

I also like the 360 degree rotatable NB-40 ballhead. Attaching and positioning my camera is very easy. The camera can easily be tilted to the right angle with the adjustment knobs.

The included rubber feet have good grip, but in rocky areas such as the Jurassic Coast and the Brecon Beacons, the spike feet provide just a little more stability. These feet are also supplied as standard and are easy to attach under the tripod.

Complete tripod kit in high-quality carrying case

The tripod with steering head is delivered together with accessories like rubber and spike feet and some tools in a nice carrying bag. This bag is high quality. Maybe the quality is even a bit too high, because the bag is quite heavy compared to other brands. On the other hand, it of course depends on whether you prefer good quality or a slightly lighter weight.
