The 284CEX tripod from the Leofoto Ranger Series is particularly suitable for video and panorama work, thanks to its leveling base. The basic tripod has a tripod plate made of black anodized aircraft aluminum with a leveling base that has a 3/8-inch tripod screw. You can mount a tripod head directly on it (or a center column first, but for stability reasons that is not recommended). The ball of the leveling base has the possibility to tilt 15 degrees to all sides, so you can place the tripod head exactly horizontally without having to adjust the length of the tripod legs. You operate the leveling base with the robust rotary knob at the bottom of the tripod plate.
